The students finished their Penguin Unit in math last week. Throughout this unit, the students learned about measuring heights and weights, data collection and various number sense strategies for addition and subtraction computation.
The students collected data throughout this unit. I hope you saw their penguin folders when they came home. They did an amazing job learning math!
As a culminating acitivty in this unit, the students created their own life-sized penguin. Here is a picture of the ones we studies, in order of height. Ask your child to tell you which penguin is the tallest? Shortest? How much taller is the Emperor Penguin than the Little Blue Penguin?
Your child's life-sized penguin is in our Team space. Please visit us!
